Hotel for one night-Miami

I am still on the search for a hotel for one night pre-cruise stay. Has anyone stayed at: Hampton Inn/Downtown-KeyBiscayne, Ramada Plaza Marco Polo, President Hotel Miami Beach, Fairfield Inn,Miami Beach, Best Western, Miami Beach. Would any of these be to far a taxi ride from the airport to hotel/hotel to port? Don't know distance too well in Miami. thank you.

Out of all your dismal choices, the Hampton Inn is the nicest. The Ramada and Best Western are horrible and the Fairfield and President are decent.

Priceline is very effective for pre-cruise stays. Distances are not huge in Miami, though traffic may be a concern. I would guess $20+ for cab. You can bid 4-star only for downtown Miami and be assured of getting something like the Hyatt Regency or Intercontinental for about $80 or so--consult www.biddingfrtravel.com if you need priceline tips.

djm, no offense, but your various posts are now becoming confusing. People here are not aware of which weekend you will be there -- if they did they not be suggesting you can get a Priceline 4 star for $80. I'm guessing these are the only hotels you've found that have any availability?
Frankly I'd go with the downtown Hampton Inn which is going to be less expensive to take a taxi to than the beach hotels and again less expensive the next day for a taxi to the port.

Forgo the rest and stay at the Downtown/Key Biscayne Hampton Inn!
