HI, <BR>I am going to San Diego in a few weeks. I understand that the Del is currently being refurbished. Is it still nice to stay there or would you recommend the Marriott? <BR>

Hi Tim, I stayed at the Del C.a couple of yrs.ago on business.I thought it was nice but over-priced.I'm not familiar with the Marriott.

I don't know the extent of refurbishing at the Del but the Marriott is very nice. Keep in mind that the Del is an oceanfront hotel while the Marriott is located on the bayside. If the ocean/beach is important to you, stay at the Del.

Does anyone remember a 3rd rate sc-fi movie "CHUD" ?

SD Marriott is a fine convention hotel. It's adjacent to the SD Convention Center and near the downtown area and Gaslight District. It has a swimming pool. What more do you want to know?

Tim, my assumption is that you are asking about the Marriott on Coronado (Le Meridien) and not the San Diego Marriott downtown. The (old) Le Meridien Hotel is now a Marriott.
