Hotel choices for Tahoe

Have booked my hotel in SF thru Priceline and have some choices on our 2 night in Tahoe. We have reserved a room at Caesars but have heard some bad feedback on it. For the same price we can stay at Harahs or Harvey's and comments on all of the above mentioned hotels would be apprciated. Also restaurant suggestions also.

The only negative I've heard is that there is a longer walk to the rooms, but it was a warning from a person with moving difficulties. Haven't stayed there, but we played slots a little, the hotel looks nice. By the way I don't think I will ever stay there as usually Caesars is the most expensive of all 4 casinos.

Stayed at Harvey's once, and thought if I paid full price, this would be a disappointment.

Go to Harrah's 18th floor for a great view. Skip their buffet.

We've stayed about a dozen times at Harvey's (now owned by Harahs) and loved it. Get a room in the high, Lake Tower. They are spacious and even have a TV in the bathroom. We like either Llewylns on the top floor for drinks in the bar or dinner. The Sage room on the casino level has fabulous steaks and table side service.
Don't know why I don't care for Caesars, just a feeling.

We stayed at Harrah's this past Thanksgiving and enjoyed it. The rooms were quite roomy - and I believe each room has 2 full bathrooms, which is nice when getting ready to go out - no waiting for someone else to finish.

Had dinner at the Sage room - it was pretty good. I didn't find any of the buffets in Tahoe to be more than ok, at best. The one at Harrah's is touted to be "the best" - but was just so-so. Also tried to seafood buffet at Harvey's - that again was just ok.

I have heard comments about the restaurants at these 3 hotels being pricey but are they worth and if so which one would you recommend as far as view and food quality? The hotel rates have gone up since I last checked so I think I will leave it at Caesars. I found a few better reviews on another site as to Casesars ratings and as I have never stayed at a Caesars elsewhere I will give this one a try. Thanks for suggestions.

stayed at harvey's last year. we had two rooms - one in each tower and we were pleased with both. i checked the rate often on the website. originally started out at $69.99, it went up as high as $89.99 then ended up getting it for $49.99. rates seemed to change almost daily.
