HOTEL BETWEEN RICHMOND HILLS, GEORGIA AND NAPLES, FLORIDA

HELLO!
Thank you for recommending a clean, safe, convenient, one night motel/hotel about 100 miles NORTH of Naples, Florida for us to book as we travel south on 95 from Richmond Hills, Georgia. Very much appreciate this!

Suzy

You say I-95. Do you plan to go take it to Ft.Lauderdale then across Alligator Alley? Or cut across the state from Jacksonville through Tampa? Or go down to Daytona then I-4 to Tampa and down I-75? Or take back roads from Orlando to Naples? These choices would vary the 100 miles north of Naples by a lot.

Why would you stay 100 miles from your final destination?

What do you suggest for the least amount of driving? We have no route preference unless the fastest way is very stressful road conditions. Yes, we are looking for a hotel/motel 100-150 miles north of Naples. Thanks for your help.

I've driven that so many times (usually staying in Savannah then driving to arrive in Naples about 3 or 4 the next day. My favorite way is currently driving down I-95 to I-4 near Daytona, and then I-4 to I-75 near Tampa, then down I-75 to Naples. Every time I do the more "backroads" route I regret it. If you take that route, then I guess Sarasota is your best bet which is about 115 miles from Naples as I recall. There are many nice chain motels right off the highway or you could go into town near the airport and The Ringling Art Museum and Asolo Theatre. My usual there is a nice Hyatt Place on University Drive (that's the exit from I-75) right by US 41.

Yes, have driven that route a few times.

I-95 to I-4 to I-75. Definitely take the eastern beltway around Orlando as construction on I-4 through Orlando is a nightmare. Might be a few miles farther but worth it. Find a hotel somewhere on I-75 between Tampa and Sarasota, there are many to choose from just choose whatever your preference is. If it were me I would stop at Brandon Fl. stay at the Embassy suites Tampa/Brandon hotel, go to Portillo's for an italian beef sandwich and then go play Top Golf. .

All are right off I-75 at exit 256.

By the way the eastern beltway around Orlando is route 417 and is a toll road.
