Dear Vague-buster,
I thought this was posted in the California topic. It's in San Francisco.
Please respond if you know of the hotel.
Thanks,

Denise

Hi Denise,
Last June my husband, two teenage boys and I stayed at the Beresford Arms for 4 nights. The Jr suite was very nice, the staff exceptionally courteous and helpful. We found the location excellent for getting around town. It was just a few blocks from the center of things; we were able to catch the bus to the Giants game easily and the cable cars everywhere. We didn't rent a car until the last day. The hotel itself had a small, European feel to it, intimate lobby, sweet rolls and coffee in the morning, wine and cheese in the afternoon. WE were perfectly happy with the Beresford Arms and would return there, however I was eyeing the Andrews Hotel on the same street and just a block or two closer in. I've heard glowing reports on it, You might check it out. Enjoy your trip to everyone's favorite city.

Denise, for future reference, if you highlight a state, that is just for search purposes, i.e., only posts for that state will show up on the left of your screen. However, when you post a new topic, regardless of whether you highlight a particular state, your post will show up in the general US forum, and if you don't mention a city or state, no one reading the USforum (most posters) will necessarily know.
