hotel beds

Hi all: Can someone tell me the chain of hotels that supposedly has really comfortable beds? I've read, but can't remember the name of the hotels, that use good mattresses--so good that people want to get them for their homes. Thanks!

Also the Ritz hotels

The best pillows are at the Four Seasons.

All Starwood (Westin, W, Sheraton, etc.) hotels are upgrading their bedding. Some of the upmarket Sheraton properties have beds rivalling Westin's "heavenly" beds.

Who is the manufactuer of "Westin's heavenly beds"? I know that the mattresses at the Four Seasons (hard) are Simmons.

I slept on an incredibly comfortable bed in a Wyndham last month, and was informed some of the Wyndhams are now upgraing to Sealy Perfect Sleeper beds....

I had heard the W beds & mattress pads were terrific. They can be purchased here.

mclaurie, this is not good.

Just went to that website and bought a some towels and a robe. I wish I had heard about that wonderbed about two years ago after I broke my back! I bought a Sterns & Foster and it just is not perfection.

Got your email by the way. I hope you will make it over for pizza some day.

The best beds are definitely at the Westin.

Yes, I agree. The heavenly beds at Westin are just wonderful.

So, who makes these beds? Do I have to check in to a Westin to have a peek?

Do a search under "Heavenly beds" and click on the post "where can I get a Heavenly bed". Someone says it is a Simmons no-flip pillowtop beautyrest, and talks about the # of coils, ect.

Calamari, before you buy a new bed, try the W mattress pad (I think that's what it's called but it may be a feather bed.) I have a girlfriend who travels on business constantly & is a real pill. She fell in love with the W bedding & bought this thing for her bed at home & swears by it. Says she feels she has a new bed.

The other bed I've heard is wonderful is the Dux but VERY pricey.

I will definitely come by next time (which I hope will be soon). I had an absolutely fantastic time in La Jolla & am ready to move! (My husband, however, is not enthused :'(

Thw worst beds, at a major Hotel chain, is the Radisson Hotels. Almost every Radisson we have stayed at has rock hard beds.

missjanna Oct 28th, 2003 05:28 AM

I concur, I think the worst bed I ever encountered was at an Extended Stay Suites!!

We have been living in hotels for a year now, and Westin beds are my favorite so far.
