Hotel Advise - Conflicted
My son lives in San Fran. We have stayed at the Westin St Francis Union Square and do not want to stay there again. We have also stayed at the Hilton Union Square on O'Farrell and we like it a lot but it was too busy.
My wife and I and our 30 year old daughter will be there in April.
I have booked the JW Marriot but also looked at the Union Square Marriot, Grand Hyatt and Parc 55. We need 3 in a room 2 queens.
Should I stay with the JW or book another hotel. Looking for comments and direction.
Thanks.

There are a lot of nice hotels in SF but my favorite is the Hotel Monaco. It's close to the JW Marriott. I've stayed there in a room with two queens and it was a big room with nice amentities. LOVE the Monaco!

Is there a particular reason you want to stay in the Union Square area, and is there a particular reason you want just one room for you, your wife, and your 30 year old daughter?
I'm all for family togetherness, but I'd think unless there's a medical reason, a 30 year old woman would not be happy or comfortable being in the same room as both her parents.
If it were me (and I know I'm not you) I'd rent the 2 bedroom suite at the Cow Hollow in the Marina -- would cost you less than a night at the Jw Marriott, be in one of my favorite areas of town with great nightlife and restaurants. The two bedroom suite has, you guessed it, two bedrooms, a living room with fireplace, kitchen, two bathrooms, dining room. Quite beautiful, and allows for some privacy.

Totally agree with the suggestion of Cow Hollow Suites. I have stayed there - loved it. Then put my parents up there for their 50th wedding anniversary - they loved it. Fantastic room. Awesome location.
