Hot cider recipes?
Do any of you have a favorite that you make every year? I prefer a sweeter one, as compared to wassail types. Thanks, J.
Oh yeah, in case I go camping anywhere in cold weather, I'll use it too, lol. You know, like Las Vegas and Kauai, muah ha ha ha... |
Well being from Vegas myself, i know how important cider is to keep you warm on those snowy nights. I prefer martinelli's apple cider. Get their juice and they have individual tea bag type things that have their spices in them. You just get it at the normal grocery store. My mother likes Willaim Sonoma's mulling spices, but seriously Martinelli's is more convenient in its individual bags and i think its better.

Thanks. I'm topping in case anyone else has more. J.

I second Williams Sonoma mulling spice. It's just right for me.

Ilike to add a cut-up orane and a cut-up lemon, plus a few sticks of connamon and some cloves, and then a touch, or a bunch of touches of bourbon, to suit your taste. Simmered just a bit, this stuff is delicious --and lethal.

Um, that's orange, and cinnamon. Didn't even have a sip of the stuff, honest!

I like the Sonoma one too, I often keep it on the stove to scent the room during the holidays.

Thanks holiday revelers! A few years back, I used a recipe from Bon Appetit that had the cinammon sticks, cloves, cider and apple juice. I might get ambitious and search for it. It was the perfect blend, and I miss it. J.

I love the Sonoma spices but they can be expensive. Try going to Penzeys.com I just ordered my mulling spices from them.
