Horseback Riding on the Outer Banks

Does any one know of a place that will taking you horseback riding on the beach? I have seen people ride horses on the beach in Nags Head but it might have been their own horses and it was winter. I have heard of a place down by Frisco or Buxton that takes you horseback riding. Does anyone have more info? Has anyone ever done this?
Thanks

There is or was a place on Cedar Island, right by the ferry slip for the Ocracoke Ferry.

Could that be a day trip from Nags Head? Seems a aweful long ways as far as the ferry ride. Are you sure there isn't a place on the outer banks?

Isn't there a place in Buxton? It might be called Buxton Stables but it might have another name now.
