Horseback Riding in New England?

We're looking for a weekend North of Boston. Up for a great B&B, horseback riding and any other fun outdoor adventure! We're not avid riders, my boyfriend has just announced he may be a "natural" and would like to spend his birthday weekend on horseback! Thank you!

Here's a website to get you started but I don't know of anyone who's been.
http://www.weirsonline.com/horseback_riding.htm

But at least your question will get on top.

I don't know how far you want to travel, but the Kedron Valley Inn in South Woodstock Vermont is a small country inn with a riding school and stables in the heart of some Vermont's most beautiful countryside. It's about 2 1/2 hours from Boston.

You might want to check out www.milesriver.com. This is The Miles River Inn. It is about 45 min. North of Boston in a beautiful town, Hamilton. This is horse country, as a matter of fact the Inn is next to the world famous Myopia (polo). It is in Cape Ann, close to Essex, Ipswich, Gloucester, Rockport - picturesque, fried clams, georgeous beaches. I am not sure if they offer riding on their property but there are lots of stables nearby.
