Horseback Riding in Maui

We are going to Maui in November and I would like to go horseback riding on the beach thru the water :-) Can anyone recommend a place that is good and has nice horses. I haven't been riding in many years but it is something that I have always wanted to do.

Aja: i can recommend a place that is good and has nice horses, but you won't be riding them on the beach. i chose Makena Stables last winter and it was great. we rode through old lava fields above the ocean. highly recommend them!

I don't know of any that go on the beach either.

Adventures on Horseback is good though..you ride on a bluff above the ocean, then up to a waterfall for a nice picnic behind the falls.

I took the Maui Stables tour through the "rain forest". It was absolutely beautiful. There were about 10 people on tour. I highly recommend it.

I recently recommended Adventures on Horseback on a similar post, and regretably, another poster informed us that they no longer do tours from the stable. The owner is a horse whisperer, and the poster said you can still go to the stable to see the horses and speak to the owner, but that the wonderful tour has been discontinued.
