hopi indian reservation in Arizona. Help us Decide

We are starting out in Phoenix in August and gradually making our way up into Colorado. We are considering different routes. One route would take us up into the Hopi Reservation in Arizona. It's a bit longer. We are wondering what a visit there would be like. Is it worth adding extra hours to our trip. Is it interesting? Etc. Please help

You probably have noticed that the Hopi reservation is right in the middle of the Navajo reservation. That makes a very interesting trip. If you've never visited a reservation, do a little research on the internet first and be sure to visit the Heard Museum in Phoenix for background. It is the best place in Phoenix, anyhow.
We have done an Indian Country Route that included our favorite place, Canyon de Chelly; Navajo National Monument and Monument Valley (a don't miss). To get in the mood, read a couple of Tony Hillerman books.
Enjoy the dramatic scenery of northern Arizona!
