Are there any advantages to taking the Hard <BR>Hat Tour ($25) at Hoover Dam over the <BR>standard tour ($8)?

you get to see more of the inner workings of the dam with the "hard hat". tour is a little longer, group is much smaller so you can pester the guide with plenty of questions!

Also, you get to keep your hard hat when the tour's over!

if you take the hard-hat tour, you get a ticket with a tour time also. so you won't have to stand in line all morning like the regular tour.

I got a ticket with a tour time on it for my regular (cheapo) tour. It was a pretty good tour but you do get to see much more on the hard hat tour. They were sold out the day we were there.

<BR>on the Hard Hat tour you can set your time...early am good time ...1st tour 9 am...reserve in advance...more of the inner workings...and yes you get to keep the hat......

I just did this about two months ago, and was genuinely amazed how much I enjoyed it! The hard hat tour is definitely worth doing. If you're going to go our of your way to see this dam, go ALL the way!

Thanks. I appreciate the advice. I was worried that I was getting ripped off at 3 times the price when the $8 tour was 35 minutes and the $25 tour was around 60. I've already paid in advance anyway. This is my first time to Las Vegas and I can't wait!!!!
