Hood River overnight

Any recommendations (or don'ts) for b&bs or hotels/motels etc. For 50 years I've only driven through there or had an expresso.

Oregon? If so, this is the place I've most often seen recommended: http://columbiagorgehotel.com/. Since I live near Portland, I've never stayed there. But I can vouch for their breakfasts. You won't want to eat again for a week.

The Columbia Gorge Hotel is very nice, we enjoyed our stay there, it is a historic hotel with gorgeous, spacious grounds. Our room was small but we enjoyed our stay and the breakfast is amazing there. Enjoy your travels! ***kim*** ((f))

Does it have to be in Hood River or would the general gorge area work? Two smaller places are Bridal Veil Lodge, which is very close to Multnomah Falls, and View Point Inn which is in Corbett and just recently reopened.

Thanks all. Many years I walked through the Columbia Gorge Hotel and had a glass of wine.

Can't believe I once lived in T.D. yet don't know H.R. hotels!
