My wife loves Thai, so we were either going to Keo's or Singha's, leaning towards Singha.

The bartender & a waitress at the hotel we were staying said both were more American/Thai, and if we wanted real authentic Thai, we should go to Payao's. Well, we did, and wished we went to either Keo's or Singha's. My wife was leaning towards Singha. ((b))

Femme Nu and Seoul Garden are run as "separate" businesses, but are owned by the same person. I believe the kitchen at Seoul Garden can also services Femme Nu, and you are able to order food while watching the "show".

The owner is a client of my BIL's. The food at Seoul Garden is really good - for my sister's birthday she wanted to eat Korean food and chose Seoul Garden. The owner kept sending us complimentary dishes to try.

It's a bit disconcerting to exit the restaurant and the various doormen and patrons of Femme Nu milling about the entrance, though.

Aloha, chepar!

I am impressed at the depth of your knowledge!

btw, what is a "BIL?"

Yes, the Madam of Femme Nu has become a restaurateur and left the other nearby business to the management of her son, but let there be no doubt that she still calls the shots.

At least, that is my understanding. Who am I to know, I don't go there....

I am guessing that BIL is an acronym for "brother in law." What is the relevance, though, that the restaurant owner ("Madame of the Femme Nu" as PakePorkChop calls her) is a client of the BIL? And what kind of client?

This is getting interesting!((A)) Belle

Well, Old Southern Belle, it just hints at the hidden mysteries that lie just outside the confines of the Hawaii Convention Center.

It's not always a pretty picture but it tells you what is developing in this world of ours.

As we view the latest headlines from around the world, we can all be grateful for living in a country that has found ways to discuss differences and find a
plan to work toward solutions!

Thanks again for coming a long way to share some time with us in the Pacific islands! We know that many people will not understand the value of such exposure, but as the century unfolds, Alabama will recognize your efforts in developing a political and economic posture to East Asia.

Please contact me if I can assist you in any way.

Yup, BIL is "brother in law".

As far as being a "client" - actually, rather inaccurate terminology. I guess "patient" would be a better term.

I've always found that the best Korean places are the tiny hole in the wall spots where the menus may or may not be in English.
