I just checked their websie and all three tours really look interesting. Thank you for posting this information.

BTW, from all of our recommendations...did you ever decide on a name for your baby?

I plan on taking the tour next time we have guests. Otherwise, it's just easier to cart myself around to one new place each week.

There was an excellent review in the paper. It's not online though. She said don't be late because she missed the van. One couple had traveled to most of the countries in the world and loved the food on the tour. They were making reservations to go back for dinner. For another couple this was a new experience and they enjoyed it also.

For a similar tour where you choose your lunch venue, call the Chinese Chamber of Commerce, 533-3181, Chinatown tours every Tuesday morning at 9:30, five bucks.

From what I read Matthew Gray's tour The "Hole-In-The-Wall" covers different ethnic restaurant not just chinese. Chinese tour for $5.00 covers only transportation and there is nothing organized about it. They take you there and then you are on your own. At least what they told us. Going on a tour with Matthew Gray would be fun,IMO

earlxx, you are speaking about two entirely different tours.

The Dim Sum Tour has nothing to do with Matthew Grey.

The Chinsese Chamber of Commerce Tour is most definetely guided, for a minimum of two hours and often going three hours, depending on the level of interest, all for $5. Call 533-3181 for confirmation.

You need to keep your facts straight or you are going to mislead visitors!

My husband and I did the Chinese Chamber of Commerce walking tour and were thoroughly impressed. Five dollars was cheap for all the sights, sounds and special insights our guide gave us. Try searching a thread on this tour here for longer comments.

After seeing this add I know we will take the Chinese Chamber of Commerce walking tour. Thank you Matthew for helping us to chose less expensive tour.

I took the Chinatown Walking Tour with PakePorkChop this morning, and it was very informative. For all the information he shares, $5 is dirt cheap. I also suggested he raise he price! So before he takes my suggestion into consideration, all you Fodorites better flock to Chinatown to take the tour!

I'm hoping to take my parents in December. Would taking a stroller be possible?

In order to address the stroller question, I need a few more details. Are we speaking of a baby stroller here or an adult with a walker with wheels.

A baby stroller may be possible is its not one of these Harley-Davidsons for Infants.

An adult with a walker will have difficulty keeping up with a tour group.
