Honolulu Airport Question

We are going to be flying into Honolulu and staying one night in Oahu, then flying out the next day for Kauai. Does anyone have any ideas what to do with our bags? Is there any storage facilities at the airport? We don't want to haul all of our bags around for one night if we can help it. Thanks in advance for your help

I don't think there is anywhere to store bags in any airport after 9/11. You might check with your airline to see if you can check them early for your flight the following day, but I would doubt it. I think you are going to have to take them to your hotel.

Have a good time.

Signs up at HNL last week saying no lockers, no left luggage. Bummer.

Trust me on this...Don't overpack...Kauai is so laid back. Take 3-4 pairs of shorts and 6-8 tops. Forget those heavy bulky beach towels. If you are at a resort, they furnish the towels and if not, just head to Walmart and buy an inexpensive one. Buy a cute little outfit at Tropical Tantrum (Marriott & Kapaa)for those nights out that you want to dress up a bit.

You might try calling your primary carrier to see if they will let you check your luggage through to your final destination. If they respond in the affirmative, then storage becomes the problem of your secondary carrier (Aloha or Hawaiian Airlines). Of course this plan is not without additional risk as you must trust the secondary carrier to keep your luggage secure once it arrives in Kauai. Perhaps your best option is to pack light and keep it with you.
