Sean, <BR>Just came back from Kauai last week and stayed at the Hyatt. This was my favorite hotel by far! They really went ourt of their way for you. Let them know ahead of time your on your honeymoon, and they will give you a comp bottle of wine or champagne. <BR>I only stayed 3 nights, but this is what we did: 1st night just kicked back and relaxed. Went for a wonderful Italian Dinner at Cafe de Amiche. The next day we stayed arround the pool and lagoon area, that afternoon went into town for lunch. They have a wonderful take out window next to the grocery store. We got the food to go and went for a picnic lunch by the twin falls. Had dinner that night at Roy's. What a treat. The food was to die for! Next day went for a helicopter tour, that landed at a waterfall for lunch. This was really nice. That night went to Koki's for dinner, this was even better than Roy's. The Hyatt will make all the dinner reservations for you and even give you coupons for free deserts and stuff. By tomorrow I should have my trip report out. <BR>Have fun!

my 15 yr. old daughter and i spent 5 days on kauai in july. i wish it had been more! like many who replied here, i started in poipu and moved after 1 day. i love to snorkel and learned, the hard way, that the beaches on the north shore are calm in summer and rough in winter (just like Oahu). the same beach by our condo in poipu was very rough in july. tunnels was great although the coral isn't colorful. we stayed at a nice place that was a GREAT bargain. If you have the Entertainment Card (a coupon book that only costs $25) you can stay at Planation Hale for 50% off. a very big 1 bdrm condo for about $80 a night. next to coconut planation. for beginning snorkeling and for kids, lydgate park is perfect!
