Honeymoon Suggestions

Hi, my fiance and I are debating between a couple of places for our honeymoon. I am quite interested in California (maybe San Fran) and he is leaning towards San Antonio, TX. We will be traveling the first week of June, and are hoping for a good dose of sunshine. As well, we would like to do some shopping, see some interesting attractions, and take tons of pictures :). We are both 24 years old, and neither of us have been to either state.

If you have any other suggestions for destinations in the continental US, I am open to hearing them. If you need any more info, just let me know!

Thanks so much, LUCY

San Antonio will be very very very hot. Of course, I will never turn down a trip to the Hyatt Hill Country Resort, even if it's 105 outside. California would be nice. We did a Monterey-Yosimete(sp)-SF trip that was nice. Do you like outdoorsy things, city things, or what?

Sorry, I can see June now.

San Francisco!!! (but I'm biased, I live here :) )

If you want heat-- San Antonio.

If you want charm, sophistication, romance, world-class dining, unique shopping, museums, galleries, theatre, cool attractions, etc., etc., etc.-- San Francisco. Don't count on sun and heat (even if it's sunny, it will be relatively cool).

Don't get me wrong, I like San Antonio a lot (it and Austin are the only cities in Texas I would visit on my own dime). But San Francisco is in another category altogether, and would make for quite a great honeymoon. Combine it with a spin up to Wine Country and you've got a pretty perfect holiday!!

Thanks for the info... Would it be a good idea to rent a car to do some side trips? (ie. wine country, etc)

Also, any hotel suggestions for SF? We are looking for something not too terribly expensive, but not too cheap either.

What is the average temp in early June?
