honeymoon south florida

Hello all...

Need some help. We are planning on getting married in Miami in July. Wanted to spend part of our honeymoon on South Beach. Maybe2-3 days-don't know what to do the rest of the time-in total about 8days. We've talked about a 3/4day cruise but they do not get the best reviews. Any ideas?

What is your hotel budget?

Check out the Mandarin Oriental, Sonesta Beach Key Biscayne, Shore Club, any Ritz-Carlton, Biltmore, Delano, Setai, and The Tides for top end Miami hotels.

Thank you! Excellent suggestions. I am familiar with Miami b/c I have a lot of family down there. Just don't know what to do with the rest of the time. Key West? SOmeone suggested Sanible Island?? The cruise idea was our original plan but have been so disappointed in the reviews I have read.

What about renting a condo or home with a boat rental? Do you have boating experience?

The boat trip from Miami to Bimini is only about 51 nautical miles but don't suggest it unless you are a very experienced ocean boater.

There are so many things to see in Miami's waterways, a cruise would pale in comparison.

Stiltsville for one is very neat. An all day trip to Key Biscayne is fun.

Naples is a charming upscale town on the Gulf coast opposite Ft.Lauderdale, and Sanibel Island has a Caribbean island feel.
