Honeymoon Problem

I have a big problem- my honeymoon is in september and i was thinking of heading to the carribean and just learned that it is hurricane season there at that time- so now i am considering either aruba, grenada or hawaii- the problem is that Hawaii does not have all inclusive resorts- and i heard that it can be a little expensive
our budget is under 4500
do you guys think its possible?!and if so how?

Yikes, I've taken our family of four plus my mom to Hawaii for a week and spent less than $5000. Where are you coming from? Even the Four Seasons at $350 per night (7 x$350=$2450) plus $1000 spending money leaves you with $1000 for airfare. From the east coast that might be tricky, but you can probably get a deal in September after school is in session. Good luck!

We cruised the Caribbean during hurricane season with NO problem. It was less expensive and less crowded. Granted, it is a risk but I would do it again wothout hesitation.

My brother and his wife DID get stuck on St. Thomas however during Hurricane Hugo. It extended their hooneymoon by a week and they had quite an adventure, one they will never forget. They remainded safe throughout though at times, things did get a little scary. Despite it, they said they would return in September.

I would consider still going- but know that it could be tricky- whatever- congratulations & enjoy!
Isn't it hurricane season in Grenada in September. Try Bonaire and Curacao in addition to Aruba.

We honeymooned in Aruba. You're only 15 miles from Venezuela and away from the hurricane belt. It was a great, relaxing vacation. Lovely beaches, good food, casinos and we rented a car just for one day to hit the minimal amount of sightseeing...
There's a good mix of all-inclusives and regular resorts there too.
