Honeymoon in August

Looking into going to Hawaii in August, but I have no idea where to start. We are coming from NY, so i know the flight will be long, so thinking maybe we should go to vegas, or cali before?
Anyway, please give me some suggestions on where to stay, all inclusive. I know it is going to be expensive, but hey it's our honeymoon and we'll never get back there most likely. So any information you can give me would be great. I would like to have something to present my future hubby wiht, other than the 'but the flight is so long' HA You can email me at [email protected]. Thanks

Vegas would be a lot of fun for a honeymoon. You could get a fancy suite at one of the classy hotels (Bellagio, Wynn, Caesar's) and really have fun! His & Hers spa treatments, go to the shows, etc.

Avoid the Caribbean as that is hurricane season.

It's hurricane season in most of the world in August.

Suzanne, Vegas would be fun but HOT in August. What about San Francisco or the wine country for a night or two?

Did you know that there are direct flights from NY to French Polynesia? I think this is the airline:

There are virtually no all-inclusives in Hawaii. The closest you'll come is Kona Village on the Big Island.

I would suggest Maui if it's your first time, and a honeymoon. You can find hotel packages with things like breakfast buffet inclusions--which help with costs.

Vegas is very hot in August, but if that doesn't bother you (you'll be indoors a lot of the time anyway) I think a stopover there would be lots of fun.

I might recommend a trip to the Oregon coast. It is spectacular and there is nothing more romantic than watching the sunset behind giant rock formations jutting out of the Pacific;the crash of the surf adds to the pleasure. There are many fine hotels here but no glitz or tackiness of Las Vegas.Nick Pascal

Vegas is tons of fun with lots to do and the air conditioners work great in Aug. I like San Francisco and wine country.

Hawaii.com has good info. on Hawaii. Try the Princeville Resort on Kauai.
We had our 30th anniversary dinner on a terrace overlooking the Hanalei Bay at sunset and it was VERY romantic.
