Honeymoon Help

Am planning to marry in Seattle in December 2004, but am stuck as to the perfect honeymoon destinations from there!

Would like to do two/three weeks in two places, but am not sure of perfect locations that are easily accessible from Seattle! Looking for hot and gorgeous locations with a mix of activities and nightlife. Could anyone recommend?

I've always wanted to go to Vancouver, which is a short hop from Seattle. Check out their website. Looks like there is a lot to do.

Explain "hot". You mean weather? Like beaches, nightlife, hiking, snorkeling? I don't think Vancover is anywhere near hot in December. I think Hawaii may be your best bet. If you need nightlife, then Maui for the first week, Kauai for the second.

Have you though of maybe Miami Beach (or Key West) or New Orleans and adding a cruise?

Since you are already on the West Coast, I would opt for Phuket, Bora Bora, Fiji, or Australia.

The weather in Thailand is really nice that time of year. As previously mentioned, Phuket might be an interesting spot for you. (Recognize it may not meet the "easily accessible" label.) Definately plenty of activities, nightlife and hotel's to meet any budget.

Alternatively, you might considering renting a sailboat or powerboat in the Caribbean. Two/Three weeks should provide plenty of time to see some really great places that aren't neccesarily accessible to the large cruise ships. Bequia and Mustique, for example.

On the west coast you won't have a high likelihood of finding 'hot' weather in December until you get down to the tip of Baja at Los Cabos. So, by definition, you'll have to fly at least a few hours.
If you're going to invest the time flying, I'd go somewhere worth the effort.
If nightlife/activities/gorgeous scenery must be included then Bora Bora's out. Los Cabos are out. Maui is an option. Sydney and Queensland Australia are great. Barbados is not at all convenient. Bermuda's too cool. Mexican resort towns are an option (Playa del Carmen, etc).
