I'll try posting one more time!

It all depends on what you like- do you like to go somewhere that you know what to expect, or are you somewhat adventureous?
Maui is like a tropical but typical U.S. territory with fast food joints and even K-mart. Bermuda is different, its slightly British with a tropical twist. There are no fast food places (well, one Kentucky Fried Chicken) and no major department stores.
Maui is more convenient- you can rent a car, go where you want to go when you want to go. You also have a place to put your belongings while shopping or going to a beach other than your hotels beach (your cars trunk). You can't rent a car in Bermuda. You can rent a moped (although I wouldn't recommend it after seeing how people drive in the rain there on very narrow and winding roads), take the bus (which is the best bus system I've ever used), or take a taxi (which can get very expensive if your hotel is far away from downtown Hamilton).
There are more specific sites to see in Maui- Road to Hana, Iao needle, Haniakala(sp?)Volcano Crater, but the entire island of Bermuda is interesting no matter where you are.
Quality shopping is better in Bermuda (Downtown Hamilton) than Maui (Whalers Village) for crystal, clothing, and jewelry, ect.
Although there aren't that many beaches in Bermuda, the best ones (Elbow Beach and Horseshoe Bay) are better than Maui's beaches (even Big Makena).
While the best resorts in Bermuda are very nice (South Hampton Princess and Elbow Beach) they don't compare to the resorts in Maui in Wailea such as the Grand Wailea Resort ( www.grandwailea.com).
The 4 or 5 star restaurants (food and service) are better in Maui
(check out Carrelli's on the Beach in Wailea/ Kehei) than in Bermuda without a doubt. In Bermuda they usually add 15%
onto your bill automatically for the tip, and the service shows it. Also some food is not as fresh in Bermuda (don't eat red meat in Bermuda).
Bermuda is more romantic than Maui, because there aren't 500 tourists every where you go. In Maui you almost feel like youre at an amusement park- theres more tourists driving around in convertables than people that actaully live there. Not so in Bermuda.
Bermuda has a few nightclubs downtown, but the best nightclub is Tsumani's at the Grand Wailea Resort (top 40's/ techno dance club).
You can't go wrong with either. I think if it costs alot more to go to one than the other- I'd go with the cheaper one. If they cost approximately the same, I'd go to Maui and stay in Wailea. At least there you won't feel like youre in an amusement park .
