Hollywood Stars

Only in California can you get run over by a golf cart driven by Sigourney Weaver on location in Oxnard, or knocked over by Bryan Wilson jogging in Beverly Hills. We traded our timeshare to the Ventura area. While my husband tried a few golf courses, I visited the many different shops in Ventura and Santa Barbara, loved those antique and thrift stores. Hearst castle was a designer's nightmare, but the pools were fabulous. Getty Center was very nice, but we didn't know you have to schedule your parking way in advance (People at NBC said to lie a little) so we were able to get in, but it took us one hour to go 15 miles at 3:00 PM. Next to NYC, then to Lake Lure, NC.

Who are you and what are you talking about?

Posted an earlier inquiry about the Ventura area and received wonderful advice on this forum and was just giving an overall of that trip. My name is correct on my post, is "What" your real name, lol?

Dear Dianna:
It sounds like you had a great time!

Dianna May 22nd, 2000 06:17 PM

Thanks John, we did have a great time. It's too bad some are so cynical.

John May 22nd, 2000 07:09 PM

Dianna:
Don't let that "cynicism" bother you--it's just jealousy, because the posters using it as a subterfuge never actually get to travel and have fun!

Wait a minute, guys! I wasn't being cynical. I really didn't understand what the original poster was talking about! Thanks for enlightening me! You guys are getting jaded by all these insane postings by Noach, MauiHeidi, and others. Believe me, I'm not one of those non-travelers!
