Hollywood Bowl

I've never been to the Hollywood Bowl...if I get box seats for a concert, may we eat our own picnic dinner plus wine in the box? Do people eat or drink during the concert? I've heard people bring their own champagne/wine and candelabras.
Thanks.

Yes, yes and yes! I've had season tix for upwards of 10 years. It's not summer until an evening at the Hollywood Bowl!

Either bring your own picnic, or you can order one from the property's on-site caterer, the Patina Group. Come early to enjoy your wine and meal, feel free to bring an approved candle (check the website) and by all means, drink, but drink quietly, during the performance! Don't forget the strawberries and champagne (or whatever you like) for dessert during intermission. Enjoy!!

yes, but -- some of us actually enjoy the music, and the clinking of wine glasses and silver ware can get really annoying.

yes, frankie, we do enjoy the music. I don't know anyone who eats during a performance and, why on earth would it be necessary to "clinck"?

Do watch for the candle/ lamp rules. We had an open flame and had to put it out. Try plastic cups for your concert drinking and avoid the clinks.
The boxes are the best for these celebrations, the little tables and director's style chairs make a for a memorable, cozy, al fresco dining experience.
