Holiday Inn Family Suites

As anyone stayed at the Holiday Inn Family Suites in Orlando?
We are thinking of staying there on our vacation next May and have an option on a Classic Suite.
We have a four year old child, is the resort good for children?
Any reply would be appreciated.

Last Nov. myself as well as my 2 adult daughters and 2 grandchildren stayed at the Holiday Inn suites. The children ages 4 and 5 loved the bedroom with the bunk beds. They had a tv and playstation. The pool was great and the meals were good also. I would recommend the hotel for children and for its proximity to disney world.I also think that the price is comparible to others in the vicinity and much cheaper than staying at disney world properties.

Are you talking about the Holiday Sunspree in Lake Buena Vista? They have the themed kid suites within your room. It is private and has its own bunk beds, TV, Boom box and Nintendo. We go to Disney several times a year and that's the only place my kids want to stay!

you have picked a cracker after staying there for two weeks and just come back with a family of six, your family should enjoy it.
go for the suites at lake buena vista two minutes away from the entrance of w.d.world .
we stayed in a kids suite they have two swimming pools eat as much as you want breakfast the resort is completely orientated for the young or young at heart
the resort is on a new road built last year so it might not be on all maps

My husband and I took our three 5-year-olds there last March. Tons of kids!!! Our kids loved it. The pool is like a waterpark, and that kept them very entertained. The food was very kid friendly and inexpensive and of course, breaksfast is included in the price. Quick drive to the disney resorts. Would definetly go back here for the kids sake. Not the place my husband and I dream about staying at, but most definetly kid friendly. If I could have changed anything, I wish the suite could have been larger. It is clean, but not as big as the brochure leads you to believe. With one child it will be fine.
We stayed at this new hotel last February and would not go back. The worst thing about the hotel was the transportation to and from the parks. We were surprised to find that the bus schedule was sometimes spread out by 3 to 4 hour blocks in the afternoon (compared to Disney hotel buses running every 15 minutes all day long. This made it hard when we needed to come home for naptime. There were also not enough buses to get people back after nightime firework shows etc. The rooms were also a lot smaller than expected.
We have stayed at the Holiday Inn Sunspree twice. Their "Suites" were actually regular rooms to which they added a partial wall and 2 bunk beds. It was not the privacy from the kids that we had hoped for but the kids loved it and the pool is great. They also had on onsite evening daycare. You are given a beeper in case they need to reach you. My kids loved the program and we went out to dinner alone!

Our family has stayed at several of the Holiday Inn Family Suites and have never been disappointed. We especially like the one in Orlando. It was spacious, plus the rooms have a mini fridge, ironing board, coffee maker and blow dryer. The kids have their own Nintendo, boom box, phone and TV. The adults have privacy and the kids love having their own space. The Orlando suites have different themes. Our favorites are the workout/health suite and the media suite.

The literature says the kids' room has bunkbeds plus a "junior bed". What kind of bed is that? I have 3 kids, one of them is 2 1/2 but still in a crib and I was wondering if we could use that "junior bed" instead of a crib.
I am thinking of taking my Mom here this Spring. We want to see a few Atlanta spring training games. The suite seemed like a good idea to give us some extra space. I am conserned about the shuttle schedule. I will gave the hotel a buzz and they say the shuttle runs about 10 times a day. The Sunspree is a completely different resort. The Family suite has TRUE suites. Sunspree has a room divider...not a wall with a door.
