Hey Jeff - which city are you talking about? The only HI Boardwalk I've heard of is in Ocean City, MD, but I'm sure there are others. If you are asking about the Ocean City one, I'm interested in the answers too as we are considering visiting here too.

Jeff -
This place is very basic but, like you said, the location is good and it's cheap.
Across the street is Smith & Wollensky's. Highly recommend their lobster bisque and Crackling Pork Shank. Steaks are also good, haven't tried the lamb or chops yet.
Have fun.

About 18 months ago I stayed at the Boardwalk in L.Vegas for a couple of nights and almost moved for the second night. Although it was a spur of the moment trip and I got a great rate (and check in was fabulous- NO LINE)- the room was about 2 star and worn but the real grippe was that there was never any hot water. We tried at two different times both days and one time we hit some lukewarm water. If relatives weren't coming to take us to Tahoe and already in route to pick us up, I would have found another hotel for the second night.
