Hip Hotels, Restaurants and Bars in baltimore
Heading out for a friends 30th brithday- there will be 8 of us. She is very hip, and likes modern hotels- any in the Baltimore area- boutique hotels, etc... If not, what are the nice hotels in a good locale?
What are great places for drinks and dinner- maybe dancing? |
You should look at hotels in Downtown Baltimore. The Powerplant has a lot of bars, restaurants, and clubs, close together that you can walk to.

The Pier Five hotel is in a good location right between the Inner Harbor & not far from Fell's Point. It's located right on the water. You may want to check out their website/rates. http://www.thepier5.com/ Also, check out Ram's Head Live for any shows. http://www.ramsheadlive.com/

James Joyce is a great bar for drinks. Near the Inner Harbor. ((b))

In the power plant there is a bar called Howl at the Moon. It is a unique place to go. I would recommend a resturant called the Rusty Scupper. The food is great and it is not that far from Howl at the Moon if you take the ferry over the the resturant.

Try Babalu Grill. It's a very good Cuban restaurant in the Power Plant Live! area, and I think they might have dancing later, but I'm not sure. Great mojitos!

Hope your trip is still future, Sara.
One of our favorite places for pub grub--Baltimore style is the Midtown Yacht Club at 15 Center Street, near Mt. Vernon. Upstairs in the Spy Bar, hip. |
I love Babalu Grill, the food is wonderful. They do have dancing there, but I think there is a club over the resturant called Havan.

I stayed here years ago and searched and found it's still kicking: The Latham Hotel, 612 Cathedral St., 410-727-7101.
