hip hotels in ft.lauderdale
hi there,
hip young new yorkers looking for a hip hotel @ft.lauderdale before cruising. good linens, great music, cool objects and beautiful architecture
|
You'll have to stay in Miami Beach for that, like the Delano, Townhouse, The national.... Ft Lauderdale is very sterile and boring... not much architecture, the oldest buidings are from the 70's

Hey S.kutlug ~~~~~ Try Pier 66, it is right there where the cruise ships come in. The place is very nice and has live music. If the music is not hip enough for you and your cruising frinds, a short cab ride to the Voodoo Lounge on the River Walk in Las Olas is a happening place. Check out their web site at VodooLoungeFlorida.com. You are guraranteed a great evening.

'hip','young','good linens','cool','beautiful architecture'....And, you are going on a cruise??? These are not words I wld. associate w/ 'cruise'. If you enjoy these things why on earth are you going on a cruise??? And, if you don't really care why are you so 'specific' about one night in Ft. Lauderdale???
While Pier 66 (Hyatt) has a nice location and is opposite the cruise terminal, it is far from what I would recommend for "hip" as jennifer is suggesting. Rooms are basically standard commercial Hyatt, but a nice place to stay.
I know what you're asking and I really am unaware of any such hotels in Lauderdale -- but a bunch of them in Miami, particularly South Beach. Maybe you want to check out The Riverside Hotel. Not modern trendy, but often has a pretty trendy crowd. It's a 1920's hotel, redone nicely with Mexican tiles, funky tiled bathrooms, and a mix of Spanish Colonial antiques and reproductions. Maybe more what I'd call "upscale funky" than "hip". But it is also right in the middle of the Las Olas shopping and dining strip. 1-800-325-3280. I assume they have a website you could find on Google.
