I stayed at the Hilton Times Square in March of 2002. I would, without question, stay there again. The location is superb and the service, as well as my room, was great.

I also stayed at the Hilton Times Square. Large, clean room with absolutely no complaints. Had a great rate and racked up some Hilton points and airline miles.

Stayed there for business once. Thought it was very nice. Clean, furnished nicely.

I stayed at the Hilton Times Square in May and loved it. As others have said, great location, big clean room. I stayed at the Hilton on Sixth Avenue in January but preferred the one in Times Square.

Is the Hilton mentioned on sixth avenue what is refered to as the Hilton New York or New York Hilton? I have reservation here and just wondered if I should try to switch to the Hilton Times Square. Thanks

Susan, yes, the 6th ave is the NY Hilton. We stayed there in Dec because it was much less than the Hilton Times Square. It was just fine, big rooms, close to 5th ave shopping, central park, Rockefeller center, and a short walk to Times Square. Either should be fine!

Both locations are good for a visitor, but the Hilton Times Square is a much newer hotel (just opened last year I believe).

Thanks Jane. You don't know how long I have been looking for a positive experiennce with the Hilton New York.<BR>One more quick question? They have what the web page is calling the Excutive Level. High floor with Cont. breakfast and such. It is about 30 extra $ a night and am still wondering if in anyone's experience it is worth it?

Jane Aug 22nd, 2002 06:09 AM

Your welcome, Susan! Unless you are a big breakfast eater, there are so many small delis/restaurants in that area that you can just bop in for a bite. Also, the coffee shop in the Hilton was very affordable to get some eats. We asked for an upgrade at check-in, and were given a room on the 15th floor. Apparently, the higher up you go, the bigger the rooms. We had 4 in our room and it was fine. We did not spend too much time at the hotel as it was our first trip to NY. Good luck!
