Hilton Honors

I'm new to the forum, so if this has
been done, and re-done, my apologies.
What do you think of the Hilton Honors
program?

Cheers,

Gerry K

I love it! Anytime one can get something for free, I'm for it. But I get my points from my Hilton Optima American Express Card, not hotel stays. Hilton hotels are too expensive to stay at for me. The credit card I mentioned need not be paid off monthly, a balance can be carried over just like Visa or Mastercard. We use the card for everything, thereby getting HHonors points put on our account each month one dollar= 1 HHonor point. When your credit line gets higher, you may get 2 or 3 points/dollar, etc. Of course, I recommend paying off the balance at the end of each month, because the interest rate is HIGH. If you can be disciplined about use of this card you can get free hotel stays without ANY cost, that is, if you pay off balance ea. month.
Also now Hilton Hotels in the HHonor system: Embassy Suites, Doubletree, Red Lion Inns, Hampton Inns & Suites.
Make it work for you!

My husband & I love this program. We're taking a free Hawaii vacation with points earned. Whenever we travel, we use Hilton family. They offer nice perks for loyalty. Enjoy.

I like it because you get Hilton points AND frequent flyer miles, instead of having to choose between the 2 as with other programs. I stay at Hampton Inns fairly frequently on business because they are inexpensive and reliable and I rake in the points and miles with Hilton Honors. Doesn't take long to accumulate enough for freebies.

It is probably the best frequent stay program out there. Have been a member for many years and don't always stay at hiltons. I stay a lot at Hampton Inns and you always get airline mileage and extra points if you rent a car that is on their program. There is no fee to join. good luck...

No annual fee on the Hilton Optima Card.
They get theirs with the high interest rate, that's why I advise good sense when using it. You can use it for all your usual monthly cash/check purchases and rack up points--even groceries! But pay it off monthly.

What was the best Hilton Hotel you've ever stayed at or used your points at?

I love the Hilton Honors Program because they let you "double dip" for miles and hotel points. I think they are the only major hotel chain that allows that. I stayed at the Hilton Hawaiin Village for 7days/6nights and I only used 100,000 points. It was wonderful and my bill was $27.00 total because we charged a few drinks. I also like the fact that they will allow you to upgrade for $30 per category if they have it available. My husband and I were booked in one of the towers and upgraded to a suite (1 bedroom with two lanais (sp) one facing the ocean the other facing the city, 2 bathrooms and seperate living room with table/chairs, 2 tvs for only $30 more per nite. I also love the Alii towers at that property. I've stayed there 7 times!!!
