Hilton Head SC in August/Westin Resort

Can anyone tell me what the weather is like in Hilton Head in August? And is $89 a night a good rate for the Westin Hilton Head for August?

$89 is the best rate I've ever heard of for the West Hilton Head for any time of year.

August will be unbelievably hot and humid. Brace yourself for heat indices to be in the 100s off the beach. That time of year I keep cool by puting my beach chair in the ocean. Don't even think about the pool, too hot without the ocean breeze.

GoTravel---will there be enough of an ocean breeze to enjoy sitting on the beach or will we be suffering?

You should have a nice ocean breeze. If it gets too hot and humid, just put your chair in to the water and sit in it. Mine stays in the surf in June, July, August, and September. The only problem with August is that the water tempurature gets to around 85 degrees which isn't too cooling.
