Hilton Head Question-Barony or Sea Pines?

Hi all-
We are planning to go to Hilton Head for a mini-vacation in about 2 weeks. We will be going with our 18 month old son and wondered if we should book Barony Beach Marriott or Sea Pines? Does anyone know which would be a better choice with a toddler?
thanks!

Which Marriott in Sea Pines, there are several? Distance to the beach is a major factor. Two of the locations in Sea Pines are about a half mile from the beach. Long way with a toddler. The Monarch is right on the beach with a beautiful pool area.

i personnally love the sea pines area. it seems a bit more secluded with all the overgrown trees. you also have to pay an entrance fee to get into sea pines if you arent staying inside the plantation.

A huge vote for Sea Pines. I promise that the entry fee is a nit. It's built for an 18 month old!If your son is not too old don't forget a good stroller.

If by any chance you will be there on 9/29, check saltydog.com for a clown "show" at South Beach-the kids love it. You can also usually see dolphins on the inlet just past the Salty Dog parking lot.

I've never stayed at Sea Pines, but Barony Beach Resort is nice. Be sure you know what unit you are getting however. We were across the street from the beach. There was a shuttle, but we always managed to miss it.
