Hilton Head Island Restaurant Recommendations

We're headed to Hilton Head Island for a week and are interested in finding some new dining spots. We spent 2 months there last year, and we always seem to head to the same familiar spots ie. RedFish, Catch 22, L'etoile Verte, Ruan Thai.

Any ideas?

Thanks

We love Old Fort Pub and Sunset Grille. There are so many places to go! Have fun.

Was there in October last year, had a very nice early bird dinner over at CQs which also had nice wines. It may be corny but I love Salty Dog Cafe for lunch or drinks, loved the fish bites. Also liked my prime rib early bird dinner at Crane's which for some reason seems to get recent poor reviews here, or maybe I just got lucky but my beef and sides were great.

Thanks Jamie & Jane, I have very fond memories of the Salty Dog, it is there, over cocktails, I decided to start a new business with a friend. 6 months later it was up and running.

Will give your suggestions a try.

We were in Hilton Head a couple of weeks ago. This trip we went to Eat(they have half price tapas on Tues. nights), Skullcreek Boathouse-probably our favorite new find, Sea Shack, Black Marlin-great early dining specials and Old Oyster Factory-great sunset views. Hope you have fun. We love going to Hilton Head every year.

We are long time regular vacationers. Our best find last year was the Skull Creek Boathouse. Very pleasant water side setting. Beautiful view and pleasant indoors and out. We visited twice during our trip. Food and service were really good both times. If your vacation is during a busy time, be sure to get reservations.

Thanks for the suggestions, looks like Skull Creek is a favourite.

We leave tomorrow, so will report back in a week.

We went to Skull Creek and did enjoy our meals and the service was excellent, as was the location.

Once again we had a fantastic meal at Red Fish, our longstanding favourite, just couldn't pass up going again.

We also went to Tapas, some items were better than others, but all in all I would recommend it. Fun way to eat, sharing different dishes. Reasonable cost.

We have similar tastes as others...CQ's, Red Fish, Truffles, Alexander's, Boat House, and The Old Fort Pub.
