Hilton Head in the Fall

My husband and I would like to plan a vacation to Hilton Head this fall. Can anyone tell me what the weather will be like for us? Is hurricane season an issue? Would we be able to use the pool? Please advise.

Hurricanes are a valid concern until well into October. However, the weather & water stays very nice. As a northeaster, I would say that it can stay hot well into November. That being said, I often visit HHI in mid-October and it is usually quiet and beautiful.

Generally you are pretty safe to plan on the worst hurricanes being "over" by the end of September. By October the weather is cooling off and is usually more pleasant. As far as using the pool - I would think by noon it would be warm enough on most days to be in the pool - if they have kept it open.

My husband and I have a villa in Hilton Head. We spent quite a bit of time there last fall while we were both in between jobs.
We never realized how nice it is in Sept and Oct. This is a much better time to go compared to the Spring in my opinion. Just check the hurricane/cancellation polices for wherever you're staying. In the fall, the humdity has decreased, but it should stay nice and warm - in 70s and 80s I would think. We were actually in the ocean on Halloween and it was not cold. That being said, I think that is unusual. I agree with the other comments below.

We are looking into going to Hilton Head during the second week of November

Does it get very cold during that time or do you think it would still be in the 60's?

Could be cool or could be warm--no way to tell.

Thanks Gretchen

I am aware that there is no way to tell. I was just wondering if other people had been there during that time and what they had experienced
