Hilton Head in April?

Two couples are considering a trip to HHI in April 16-23. We want a relaxing beach vacation.
Will the weather be warm enough to spend a lot of time on the beach?
Does anyone have any feedback about these accomodations: Ocean 1, Sea Pines, Marriott, Hyatt and Westin resorts? We are pretty picky about accomodations.
Do the beaches there typically rent chirs and umbrellas?
I am grateful for any advise!

The public beaches as well as beaches off the resorts will rent umbrellas and chairs.

Both the Westin and Hyatt are beautiful properties--you couldn't go wrong with either, no matter how picky you might be. Sea Pines is an area (plantation) with several places to stay plus rental properties. Am not familiar with Ocean 1.

Whether the weather is warm enough for a beach vacation depends in part on where you are from. The weather is usually pleasant that time of year, 70's to perhaps low 80. Water temps though, unless you are very hardy or from New England where water temps are never warm, are going to be too cool for swimming IMHO. (But then I live on FL's west coast and even here I don't get in until April so...)
