Hilton Hawaiin Village in Oahu?

Has anyone stayed at the Hilton Hawaiin Village? I'm looking for a hotel with great pools for our boys and I came across this one.

I stayed in the Ali'i Tower in 2007. It is a HUGE hotel that caters to tour groups and families. It is a bit of a zoo, but for a family it might be great. We spent one night there in order to see some fodors friends who live in Honolulu and that was enough. The Ali'i Tower's private pool is not a splashy over-the-top affair, but since it is used by a small fraction of the hotel, I imagine it is a lot quieter than the other pools. I can't remember what the others looked like and if they had slides and that sort of thing. The beach here is huge and the water is shallow and calm (at least it was when I was there). It is about 10 or 15 minutes further removed from the Waikiki Beach of renown where the Royal Hawaiian and Moana Surfrider are located. Have you looked into the Royal Hawaiian. They recently remodeled. I am not sure if they enlarged or jazzed up the pool though.

The room was very nice and comfortable. Not huge, but okay. I think the rooms in the Rainbow Tower have the best views of the beach and Diamond Head.

Thanks iamq. Not sure I'm looking to stay if it's a zoo. No I have not looked into the Royal Hawaiian. That's the bright pink one, right? I just looked it up and did not see any pool pictures. Thanks for the help. I'll keep looking.

Royal Hawaiian Hotel reopened & has a new pool with a waterslide. The pool with the waterslide is shared with Sheraton Waikiki.

But, don't give up on on HHV. It has the best grounds od any hotel in Waikiki.

Lots of Oahu info:

By the way, you tagged your message to Washington D.C.

You may get more responses if you resubmit the question with a Hawaii tag.
