Hilton Hawaiian Village Info please!!!

Hi, does anyone know about beach supplies at the Hilton Hawaiian Village.
IE: Life jackets for an infant, towels, beach chairs etc.
Do we bring or rent all of this?
Does the hotel not supply anything gratis?
(Thats another whole suitcase if I need to pack all that for five).
Also what would be a good choice for a Luau for a family?

Towels are provided at the pool and you can carry them over to the beach. The hotel does not supply anything else gratis. We actually borrowed some inflatable life jackets from my brother. They were great as they took up very little space. We also brought a waterproof beach blanket (Costco's) that we took everywhere with us to use instead of chairs.

Thank-you lia-B,

Did you and your family stay at the village.?
How old are your kids, and did you try their Kids Club?

The HHV supplies towels; I have no idea about life jackets. We didn't bother with beach chairs, instead we simply laid towels on the sand and enjoyed. FYI - we did bring our own beach towels from home to take with us around the island.

As for the Kids Club, my daughter wasn't interested, but friends of ours did and said their kids loved it.
Hope this helps!

Thank-you Cats,

Can you refer me to a Luau on Oahu that would be suitable for kids (families).

Hi Lynnc:

We did not do a luau, instead we ate at Ono's, a restaurant in Oahu that serves Hawaii food. Sorry.

Also, FYI, on Friday night's the HHV puts on a wonderful presentation called The King's Jubilee which ends with fireworks. You might want to try to catch it.

LynnC, we did stay in the village for a week last summer. My girls were 7 and 12 and they loved it. We visited the penguins (in front of Alii tower) during the feeding every morning at 8:00 a.m. There are flamingos and ducks and fish ponds everywhere. We did not try the children's club as we were out most of the day everyday exploring Oahu. The Friday night show mentioned earlier was really nice with Fireworks at the end. If you have a room facing the pool at Rainbow or Alii, you might have a great view from your balcony for the show. After the show stay around the village, it has a festive flair with all the people mulling about.

For liability reasons, I think most US hotels would be reluctant to provide infant life jackets. I don't recall seeing chairs on the beach but I know they have chairs by the pool area.

If it's within your budget, you might want to consider a room in the Ali'i Tower. It has it's own pool area, a continental breakfast and afternoon snacks.
