Trip Report Hilton Grand Vacation

On August 2nd my family and I went to Hilton Grand Vacation Sea World. The staff was very friendly and helpful. However, I am extremely disappointed in the cleanliness of the three bedrooms suite we were in. Upon arrival in the suite the kids took their shoes off. Within one half hour their feet were almost black with the dirt from the carpet and the dirty floors. Window sills were dirty; the sliding door tracks were absolutely filthy with dirt and hair pins. The toilet paper holder was full of dust. There was a dead bug in the corner under the master bath cabinet. The dining room chairs and the chairs in the sitting room where really dirty and sticky. The couch had grease stains on the back where people laid their heads and the arm had rips on it. It seems to me the room surface looked clean but it really was not. I do not expect for the rooms to be deep cleaned while I am occupying them for the week, however, I do expect a good through cleaning before I occupy the room. I am so disappointed that I doubt I would recommend the HGVC to anyone. I was embarrassed in front of my family because I bragged about the Hilton. I think a Hotel 6 would have been cleaner. This is not the first time that has happened. We were in Las Vegas and the same thing happened again. I think you need to train your cleaning staff on how to clean because from what I seen them do was just a quick vacuum and wipe the floor with a rag and that is it. I do not call that cleaning. The housekeeping staff did send someone in to attempt to do a better job. The carpet, the floors and the baths were cleaned again two days before we left.
The wireless network in the room did not work. We spent several hours on the phone with tech support and made no progress. On the third day, an engineer came up and was very helpful and nice, but did not have the expertise to solve the problem. The router that was in the room was sitting on the end table and the phone was plugged into it. This router was swapped to see if it was the problem, it was not, but the second router was left in the room with a cord that was not long enough to reach the table. It sat on the back of the couch and had no place to plug the phone in and that phone could no longer be used. Not that that mattered since all the phones stopped working the following day. The problem was reported several times but the problem was not corrected before we left. Another tech came by on the fourth day and finally made some progress with the network somewhere outside of out suite. We found out that it worked because we tried it as the tech never returned and updated us. There were five computers in the room. Some of the group needed to check in with their jobs and had to go to the lounge or another site to perform the required work.
We have enjoyed our stays at HGVC, but the last couple of times there was no doubt that quality of household services has slipped for below the standard expected from an establishment with Hilton in the name.
