Where should we go for a good casual brunch/ lunch near the Highline?

Great list above, plus on 9th La Grainne for crepes,and Omai for Vietnamese. Standard Grill near south end of Highline, beneath Standard Hotel, is very good too.

I am adding onto this post because we'll be visiting the High Line in August during the evening. I've read about The Lot just below the High Line at 30th street http://www.thehighline.org/the-lot/
Does anybody have an opinion about this as a place to have a quick, fun bite to eat? Is it kid-friendly?

I actually stumbled upon The Lot while exploring the new highline this past Sunday and thoroughly enjoyed the spot. There were only four food trucks (Korean tacos, regular tacos, pizza and ice cream) but I ended up tasting all four and each was delicious. There's plenty of seating on long booths both in the shade and in the sun and was not too crowded. I never had more than 3 or so people ahead of me in lines.

I was also pleasantly surprised to find two huge bars with about 6-8 beers on tap! Not a bad way to enjoy the highline. It is certainly kid friendly, may be particularly of interest to kids who haven't eaten from a food truck before. Do note though that if you walk further down the highline, there may be a few more options for a cold dessert...we passed many popsicle, gelato, ice cone stands.

Forgot to mention La Lunchonette at 10th ave and 18th Street, a wonderful little French Bistro, serves brunch.
