High end Miami area hotel - which to stay at?
Hello!
I have a 1 day layover in Miami (flight gets in late - around 10 pm) and my flight from Miami is the next evening around 8 pm.
I am looking for a great hotel to stay at ($200-300) where I can relax, kick back and sleep in, have a yummy breakfast, and spend the next day relaxing by the pool or beach.
If you had your choice - where would you stay in this situation?
I am consider the Biltmore or Mandarian Oriental, or the Ritz in South Beach or Coconut Grove, or the Four Seasons, or The Grove Isle Hotel & Spa.
Any suggestions?
Thank you in advance!

If your stay is from a saturday to a sunday, the Biltmore brunch is extraordinary and the pool is definitely a great place to relax. However, there isn't anything else to do in the vicinity if you wanted to get out and didn't have a car, although it is a nice area to take a walk in.
The Grove Ritz just doesn't give me a wonderful Ritz vibe. The Mandarin does have a wonderful bayside location, and very good restaurants. Not much else to do around there, and not much in near walking distance. Grove Isle is a very nice little island, very high end and Baleen gets very good reviews.
I would look into the Ritz in Key Biscayne as well - on the beach, great pools.

My mom recently stayed at Grove Isle and said the rooms were awful - tired and dirty.
Personally, I like the Four Seasons - easier to get to and from the airport than South Beach and it has a great pool deck. The Mandarin's pool area is nowhere near as nice.

What time of year are you talking about? For much of the year $300 won;t get you into a high end hotel.
I've done Mandarin Oriental (for meetings) and it's truly luxe - but not near the beach, although it has a great ppol and spa. And you won;t get it for $300 unless it's some special deal - except in low season (July and August).
