Hermosa Inn or Sanctary at Camelback

Deciding which place to stay in March.

Looking at a villa at Hermosa Inn or a casita suite at the Sanctuary

Any current information on either would be a great help

Both are located in very upscale residential neighborhoods...Hermosa has been here forever, but beautifully maintained and refurbished...haven't seen Sanctuary since its remodel...have heard the restaurant is good and Lon's at Hermosa is also very good...for ambience of the southwest, I would pick Hermosa...

I know nothing about Hermosa, but stayed at Sanctuary this fall, while they were still undergoing renovations. My suite was very lovely and spacious _ great view, secluded, understated decor and a great bath _ but there was a lot of construction and it was hard to tell what the grounds and the spa were going to look like. The construction is supposed to be finished this month, but I would check with them. The restaurant was open and very good..

You must stay at Sanctuary. The view is fab, the amenities luxurious, suites incredible. I stayed there on my wedding night, my in-laws were there for the week--their, favorite, continental breakfast in the swanky restaurant. Definitely recommend.

Kathy:
I just cancelled our reservations atthe Sanctuary after looking at their 360 degree videos of the rooms.
Maybe I got a bad impression from the video(?)
To me it looked like whitewashed brick walls, few wallhangings, basic furnishings, dark rooms (poor lighting).
Looked like a college dorm room!
(But great views, I could tell).
What's your opinion? Can you tell me more about the room interior?
For $515 a night I expect something at least as nice as the Phoenician or Boulders.
Can you give me an opinion?
Thanks!

Nance, We haven't stayed at the Sanctuary so I can't compare, but the Hermosa Inn is about the most romantic place we have ever stayed. There are little cottages , I think they're called casitas with patios. Huge iron beds and the decor is gorgeous. The landscape is beautiful to just stroll around. I think the resturant there has a great reputation, and the room service was terrific. Very nice pool area also.
