I was considering LA's congestion, traffic, fires, mudslides, drought. Maybe El Nino will help! Pressed for time, I would choose San Francisco's congestion and traffic over stopping in LA. LOL

Well we haven't had any mudslides this year because we have had next to no rain, although we are expecting some tonight and tomorrow, and the most recent fires were up in Northern California. Traffic is easy enough to avoid by not traveling during rush hour, etc. But up to the OP on what they want to do.
