Help with vacation between Christmas and New Years week

Looking for suggestions for this week. We do not ski and live in Orlando so not interested in beaches. We like to hike and love National Parks, we are in our early 60's but healthy and active. Would like the west, maybe Zion and Bryce if weather would not be too cold, a dry 40's or 50's would be ok.
Thanks for any help you can give us.

Hi, welcome to Fodors Bergermom.

You have started 4 threads w/the same question. When you don't get answers, you can 'top' your original thread instead of starting a new one. Topping is just bringing a thread to the top of the list so people might see it. You do this by adding a comment (by posting this, I am topping this thread)

You could add something like >>trying again. Anyone have any suggestions?<< Or something like that.

One reason you may not have received ay response is a lot of folks just look for threads tagged for particular states.

So if you want say to ask about the western National Parks, you could tag it for AZ/UT/maybe NV and/or CA and more people might read your thread.

good luck . . .

This is what I would do - I would spend Christmas and New Years' in Honolulu or someplace on the island of Oahu. New Year's there is a huge, gigantic event. Absolutely spectacular. We did that one year and had the best time. Every family on the island seems to spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars on major fireworks. The island is ablaze with fireworks and it is really a sight to behold.

Bergermom: As I mentioned -- many people don't read the whole list of threads. Just the ones asking about states they know.

So -which states most interest you? The editors can add state tags to a thread. You do realize that most of the SW/W National parks have snow at that time of year.

was posting the same time as nanabee - HI is a possibility for sure, but you say beaches don't interest you so maybe not.
