Help with trip to disney
I'am interested in getting some information on getting some feedback on hotels that are as close to disney as possible and are nice for a reasonble price. It would be nice if it has bus service to disney from the hotel. Has anyone used priceline.com for hotels in disney area. Did you get a good hotel at a reasonable price? Thankfull for any help you can give. I have been checking out some books already so this info will help.

I got the Wyndham Orlando resort on International Drive thru Priceline for $25 per night last month and they had shuttles to all the parks.

Check out hotelkingdom.com they have some great deals on variety of Orlando hotels. Also check wdwig.com unofficial guide site.

You can't go wrong with Disney's All Star resorts. Great value for the money, beautifully themed and their buses run continuously to every park as well as Downtown Disney.

If you want to save some money go to www.biddingfortravel.com they tell you about stategies to use to bid on hotels and get great prices. You need to spend about an hour reading the site to get familier with the whole price line process. You can use it for flights and rental cars too but I have only used it for hotels.
Go to the site and read the hotel FAQ then go to the hotel part of the site and they have an area that is about Orlando hotels. Go there and look at the list of priceline hotels. It really is great!!!

Dear Jules, Cindi, Joy, Randa, Nicole,Katie and aaa

Thank you all for sharing the great information.

Peace, Robbie

I strongly recommend you stay at one of the hotels on Disney property. The ones on Hotel Plaza are run by the individual hotel chains, but are considered on Disney property so you get all the advantages of staying on site. A lot of them are discounted on hotwire.com. It's a little differenct from priceline, in that you get a list of the hotels and their individual discounted prices. Good luck.

The All Star Hotel was great, a good deal and having stayed on the disney property we will always do so. It just adds so much to your whole experience staying in the park.

How do you all know he was talking about DisneyWorld and not DisneyLand. Two different states.
|
we stayed at the Carribean in Disney. It was great .Fireworks from Epcot are seen from the grounds. It had a food court, couple of pools, buses that ran all the time. It was very nice. Hope this helps.

I stayed at Wyndham Palace, accross from Downtown Disney in December for $54 a night (4 nights). Got the price through Priceline.

As suggested earlier, go to biddingfortravel.com and check to see what rates people are getting for the time you plan on being there.
|
For Disney World, check out the message boards at http://www.orlandotripplanner.com (Orlando Trip Planner. Com). They post "hotel codes" for disney hotels to get them are lower rates. They also post news other other hotel deals in the area. Staying on property is better in most cases but there are some places off site that are nice too and if you have a car, it's not that big of a deal to drive back and forth.

www.disboards.com has sections on hotels, attractions, discounts, etc. Great site for WDW and Universal/IOA.
|
go to Mousesavers.com for great info and the codes you need to get some great rates at Disney and non Disney properties. American Express has a great deal on Disney properties @$79 for All Star Resorts and @$95 for "moderates (Carribean, Port Orleans,). Ask for the White glove treatement if you use Am Ex-gets you other discounts. Also, look at Quikbook.com for hotels. I prefer it to priceline because you don't pay up front and you can cancel reservations

Here's a website to use when using priceline:
http://pub4.ezboard.com/bpricelineandexpediabidding

I have stayed at the Wyndham Palace Resort & Spa and also the Marriott World Center using Priceline (different rates for different times but always very reasonable for the quality). Both hotels are very nice. They are not Disney obviously and are not themed as such so if that's important to you, think about the moderates at WDW. One thing to remember is that most all of the Priceline 4* (maybe all) hotels near Disney charge you a "resort fee" that is not included in the bid. These can be as high as $10/day!

Robbie-

We went to Disney World in Orlando last year. Did 3 days in Orlando and a 4 day Disney cruise to the Bahamas. In Orlando we stayed at the Beach club Disney Resort. STAY THERE! The Beach Club was fantastic. It had excellent service, food and information on all Disney parks. It is also in a perfect location for access to the parks. Hope this helps. Take care.
