help with Tampa and Orlando

I am planning a trip to Florida early April for 4-5 days. We would like to go to Busch Gardens, Disney and Kennedy Space center. We are flying in on a Sunday night and returning Friday morning. Is this possible? or is everything too spread out?

You have only 4 days and could easily spend it at Walt Disney World and still not see it all. You have enough time to see the Orlando area attractions and that's all. Kennedy Space Center would be a full day's trip from Orlando. Forget about Tampa this trip.

Specifically, which parks do you want to see at Disney?

Is Universal (Universal Studios & Islands of Adventure) of any interest to you?

It really does depend on your interests! There is so much more to see in Florida than the parks!

Orlando_Vic is correct. 4-5 Days would scratch the surface in Orlando and that would be rushed. Busch IMO isnt worth the extra time unless you have "done" Orlando before. We did BG on our second trip and had a great time but Seaworld and Universal are both better.

We have done Disney, Universal and Sea World before. Thought we would try flying into Tampa for Busch Gardens (also flights cheaper than Orlando). One day at BG, 1 day for the aquarium and MOSI, 1 day at Disney???

It sounds like you are leaning toward Tampa.

With your tentative plan in place, I would skip the one day at Disney completely. You will have a 2-hour drive each way plus possibly dealing with two rush hours (Tampa & Orlando) each direction on I-4. As you also know, days at Disney parks can easily last 8, 10 or more hours. You may be looking at a 14-hour day with 180-200 miles of driving.

A better use of this one day would be to spend it in the St. Pete/Clearwater areas instead.

What are your thoughts?

I would skip Disney this time if you've already done it also. We tried to do Orlando then hit BG & the beach...decided to never try to do it all at once again. I agree w/ Vic. You could spend your whole vaca in the Tampa area and stay busy. BG and Adventure Island take a day each. The aquarium, MOSI are both good. An extra day at the beach or maybe a ballgame / greyhound race / Ybor City are all places we've enjoyed.
