Help with RV Parks needed!
 

We did that in florida a few years ago in our own small trailer. We were familiar with the over 55 RV park we choose having stayed there previously and knew we liked the area. The park offered activities that allowed us to mingle with the "regulars" and we enjoyed a few dances, dinners and barbeques. They offered evening card games and bingo. Most people were friendly. The cons: Camper behind us had 3 dogs that when left alone barked and barked and barked. It was heartbreaking and also very annoying. As the people were regulars who kept their rv there year round we didn't think our complaints to management would be acted on, so we just endured.
Being more social than my husband i liked the experience.

We have done both in the Florida Keys. We camped at two different RV parks, one for two weeks and the other for four weeks. We enjoyed both parks. One was a little more upscale, meaning no tents, pop-ups, outside kitchens and such. Most people stayed in their RVs. The other park had a rustic section where tents were allowed. Both parks had pools and planned activities. We enjoyed our stay at both.

We have also rented a house for six weeks in the Keys. We loved that. Very different experiences but we would do either one again. We just love being warm in the winter.

If you have a chance, definitely go with more "rustic" RV camps where you get some tent nights, maybe a small hike around. Or at least have an option of doing so if you'd want. Some RV parks like cgenster said, going to have planned activities, so don't worry about meeting new people, it comes pretty natural. Usually when I'm going RVing, it's few days at the camp, few out hiking and then back.
