Help with planning anniversary evening in Hawaii
Hi! My husband and I will be in Hawaii at the end of this month. We will also be travelling with our 2 children and in-laws. However, it will be our anniversary while we are there.
In order to celebrate, I would like to plan a nice, romantic evening with just the two of us. We would have late-afternoon until late-evening available. We are staying on the North Shore area of Oahu during that time. Does anyone have any suggestions as far as great places to dine, evening entertainment, etc? (We do have a car rental.) I was also thinking about looking into a sunset sail prior to our evening. Any suggestions for a good company to charter with? Thanks in advance for your help and advice! |
I'm sorry, I don't know anything about sailing.
I would check out the restaurants at Turtle Bay for dinner and (probably) music. My guess is that will be the most upscale place on the north Shore. I like to go to Haleiwa Joe's in Haleiwa, it would be festive enough to suit me for a special dinner, but if you want something really elegant it may not fit the bill. Jameson's would be another possibility www.jamesonshawaii.com/jamesonshaleiwa.htm If you want to drive into Honolulu, there would be many choices for dinner and music there...what exactly do you have in mind? Of course, a picnic on the beach is always romantic... |
Thanks! I will look into those suggestions. I am not necessarily looking for something elegant and expensive. (I am somewhat of a picky eater and sometimes run into difficulties finding something on the menu that I might like when eating at a very upscale establishment.)
What I would really like is good food in a romantic setting with evening entertainment ie: music, etc. We would also be open to going elsewhere after dinner to find the entertainment. Keep your suggestions coming! |
I wish I could think of somewhere on the North Shore that has music...maybe someone else will have that info. I would think there would be music at turtle Bay, but I don't know.
For great music, really good food, and very nice atmosphere and service, you could drive in to Chai's Island Bistro www.chaisislandbistro.com/ (It might be a little late for reservations for some dates.) In Waikiki you can find live music at Duke's http://www.dukeswaikiki.com/static/i...m?contentID=23 at House Without a Key www.halekulani.com/dining/house_without_a_key/ at the Moana Surfrider www.moana-surfrider.com/de_court.htm (this is one of my very favorite places in the world) |
Meant to say, Chai's is in Honolulu at Aloha Tower.
