Help with parking at Staten Island ferry
 

Hello, I was visiting the city a few weeks ago and found that my normal parking at the Staten Island Ferry is no longer how it was before. If you arrive during the week (10 - 11 am) is there going to be any parking. I have always parked in lot B.

I am wondering if the metered parking would be an option. I don't want to use the off site parking because I don't normally return until 10 or 11 pm and don't want to walk in unfamiliar places - and I imagine the shuttles will not run at night as well.

Any advice from locals for a tourist that loves ny and wants to be able to continue my day trips.

Thank you for the information. I have been driving to Staten Island (which is an easy drive I will not driving into Manhatten) and parked at the lot next to the ball field for several years. I missed a few months of coming up to the city and bam the parking changed. Since I don't know my way around I did not know if there was somewhere else I could park. The parking there was only $7, the metered lot (which I have never seen) says $8 for the day. I just would hate to drive all the way there (2 - 3 hour drive) to find that I can't park close to the ferry.

Can anyone answer my question about parking in the metered lot at the staten island ferry terminal. I have only ever used the outside lots but now that is not available.

I want to go up in a few weeks and need to know if anyone local can shed some light on whether on a weekday the metered lot is open and available to park.
